Deliverables
New website, content design, blog
This project involved updating a website in-line with the clients rebrand, including some graphic content production, as well as developing aggregator pages for visual content and news.
We were approached by Forward Inc - an organisation offering training, development, and financing for people from refugee backgrounds - to redesign their website. They had recently completed a redesign of their brand identity and required a website which reflected this as well as updated functionality.
Our strategy was to produce a personalised layout to highlight the values of the brand and ensure the content on the site stood out and told the story of the inspiring work undertaken by this non-profit company. To this end we developed sections documenting their commitment to assisting refugees, the significant results they have achieved so far, and interesting content regarding their students.
Design and development
We built the new website on WordPress using the Porto theme as a starting point. We then customised the theme by altering the source code and adding custom CSS. The result is a fresh, vibrant, and distinctive visual identity that communicates the passion and values of the Forward Inc team.
We incorporated this new look into several content pages and templates adjusted for different channels such as: social media organic posts, landing pages, newsletter templates, blog articles, and others.
Before going live with the new site, we performed our rigorous cross-browser QA checks, making sure the site performs flawlessly across major browsers including Chrome, Opera, Safari, and Mozilla.

Aggregator Pages
The key features we developed for the new website are two aggregator pages to effectively highlight and communicate the most important content for the organisation. The first is a blog module, for which we created tags such as news, interviews, and media presence to improve searchability and promote the content. Second, we developed a portfolio page populated with multi-media content including events, videos, podcasts, and photoshoots.
We designed templates to go along with both aggregators with functionality to share, post, and search for similar content.
Instagram Feed
An additional custom functionality we built was an Instagram live feed integrated into the website footer. This shows a snapshot of the nine latest posts from the Forward Inc official Instagram page, allowing users to open a post or follow the page directly from the website.
