Project highlights: Bringing Adventure Raffles and Conservation Together with Adventura Global
How often can you say your job helps save elephants and lions? Especially if you’re in the digital advertising space?
That’s exactly why we’re excited to highlight our latest project with Adventura Global, an adventure travel competition company where people can win dream vacations and tech prizes (with more to come) while supporting wildlife conservation and anti-poaching efforts.
Here’s how we built their website and raffle system.
Building a new site
Adventura Global is a bit different from your average raffle site. It’s skill-based. To enter the draw, users can’t just buy a ticket – they need to answer a question. Keeping that in mind, when designing their digital assets we needed to make it clear how their entries support conservation efforts to incentivise people to regularly take part.
For all that to go well, we focused on a few things:
- Use reliable code so Adventura Global’s site could handle multiple live competitions at once, with room to scale
- Create clear and clean UI so visitors of all ages can easily navigate the site
- Build trust with transparency so visitors know what their money is funding.

How to build a raffle system
Building a raffle system sounds fairly complex – and it can be. But, because this was an experimental first for Adventura Global, we worked on creating a MVP first that focused on the core journey that we could refine later.
Step 1: Lay some groundwork
To build a solid raffle system, your visitors should be able to see live competitions, prices, and prizes without clicking around. It can help to build something familiar to most users – like a standard eCommerce webshop, instead of reinventing the wheel.
Adventura Global’s homepage makes everything clear from the get-go:
- Displaying the “Play now and win epic adventures” tagline front and center
- Giving clear messaging about how ticket purchases support real conservation projects.
- Simple, visual signposting of how the platform works and how users can get started.
Step 2: Explain how the raffle works
It’s important for draws to have their own dedicated page explaining the prize, price per ticket, and how the draw works in detail. To add to that, we helped build a “How it works” to transparently explain how tickets, draws, odds, and conservation funding work together.
We made sure that each raffle page was structured the same way, so visitors always know what to expect:
- Prize description and images
- Ticket price
- Quiz question
- How and when the draw will happen
Consistency and simplicity is best, especially when you’re running many live competitions at once.
Step 3: Make entering easy
You need to design a raffle journey that makes entering easy. For Adventura Global, we made it so you can enter all on the same page – no redirects needed.
We designed the information architecture and screens around three core paths:
- Browse and enter current competitions (holidays, GoPro bundles, adventure experiences, and more).
- Learn how the draws work, what “fair competition” means, and how Adventura Global handles conservation funding.
- Create an account, track entries, and stay updated on upcoming raffles.
Step 4: Build a clear draw and winner flow
Each raffle entry purchased is stored in the backend as an entry tied to a specific user and competition. When a competition closes, we made it so the team can:
- Pull all valid entries for that draw
- Randomly select a winner
- Notify winners directly
- Update the live competition page so visitors can see when a prize has been claimed and who won (within agreed privacy boundaries)
The details behind the scenes are automated at the push of a single button, but from a user’s point of view the experience stays simple: enter, wait for the draw, see whether you won.
Step 5: Set up re-usable templates
Once you find out what works, you can create reusable templates to make it easy for your team or your client to update the raffle with new prizes or entries.
We built some for Adventura Global so they can:
- Add new raffles quickly without needing to mess around in CMS.
- Keep competition and raffle pages (including prize details, images, and copy) consistent
- Run multiple competitions simultaneously without losing track
The result: a raffle MVP that’s ready to grow
Adventura Global now has a live raffle website.
Visitors can now:
- Browse and buy tickets for live competitions focused on adventure, travel, and tech
- See how their participation supports conservation, through clear, repeated messaging
- Create an account to track their entries and keep an eye on what’s coming next
From an investment point of view, Adventura Global now has:
- A solid, scalable foundation for future features like rewards, bundles, and subscriptions
- A structure that won’t need to be rebuilt from scratch if they want to expand their raffle options
- Real feedback from users they can take on-board to guide new draws and prizes

Why this project matters to us
For us at AGCS, this project brought together some of the most rewarding parts of our work:
- Turning a new idea into a product that feels reliable and easy to use
- Building a first version that is focused and practical, not bloated
- Supporting a product where “fun” and “impact” genuinely live side by side
It also fits a pattern we are proud of: using digital experiences to make big, abstract issues feel closer and more real.
Earlier, we worked with Plastic Soup Foundation and Ocean Outdoor on a playable DOOH game about ocean plastic – a large‑scale interactive screen that invited people in the street to literally play with the problem and see the impact up close.
Adventura Global feels similar in spirit: a way to give people something joyful, while quietly channelling more attention and money toward wildlife conservation.

After three unsuccessful attempts with other developers, discovering Morne and the AGCS team was a turning point for Adventura Global. Their professionalism, dedication, and outstanding communication set them apart from the outset. AGCS delivered a stylish, functional website that truly embodies our brand and is built to scale—capable of supporting our ambitions as we expand globally.
Morne and his team have been exceptionally responsive and proactive, providing regular updates and solutions with impressive speed and clarity. Their work gives us confidence not just in our platform’s current capabilities, but in its potential to handle a growing, international customer base.
We look forward to continuing our partnership as we take Adventura Global to new markets and further our mission to support anti-poaching initiatives in South Africa and beyond. AGCS are true professionals and a genuine asset to our business. The entire Adventura Global team could not recommend them more highly, and we are excited for the future of our collaboration.

Looking ahead
As Adventura Global runs more competitions, the focus will shift to:
- Learning how people move through the “how it works” and ticket flows
- Seeing which competitions perform best
- Deciding which roadmap features (tokens, VIP prizes, bundles, subscriptions) will make the biggest difference next
We are excited to keep supporting Adventura Global as the platform grows.
If you are exploring your own MVP or thinking about redesigning a raffle, ticketing, or competition site, we would be happy to talk through what is possible.
